Sweet, local strawberries

The crown jewel of June, locally grown strawberries are blissfully sweet and packed with juicy flavor.

These organic, ruby red gems arrive to us fresh from our longtime friend Mike Shriver of Rent’s Due Ranch in Stanwood, Wash. Superb all on their own, they’re equally as excellent atop summertime desserts, incorporated into salads and blended into beverages.

Packed with antioxidants and vitamin C, strawberries tend to land on the Dirty Dozen list of produce that contains the most pesticide residue when conventionally grown. That’s just one more reason Rent’s Due’s organic strawberries are exceptionally delicious. Get them while you can — their season is short!
