pcc classes have moved online

We are now offering online classes!

Online classes are offered live via the Zoom app. Adult classes are intended as demonstrations. If you wish to cook along, please reference the recipes for equipment and steps you may need to complete ahead of the class. To ensure all dishes can be finished during the class, our instructors may complete steps in advance. All key elements will be shown in class.

Kids’ classes and summer camps are planned as cook-alongs. Recipes, equipment and instructions will be provided prior to the class.

For all classes, participants will receive recipes five days in advance and questions are encouraged via the chat feature during class. After the class, we will share a recorded version for reference.

Cancellation policy for online classes: 

Online classes are nonrefundable with the exception of 5-day kids’ camps. For 5-day kids’ camps, we can issue a credit or refund if you cancel your spot at least seven days prior to the camp start date.

All in-person cooking classes are cancelled.

Our top priority is ensuring the health and safety of our students and staff. In the interest of our community, and based on recommendations from the Washington State Department of Health regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), we have cancelled all in-person cooking classes.

If you were registered for an in-person class between March 11 and August 31, we have cancelled your seat(s) and will issue a refund to the original form of payment. For cancelled camps, note that it may take up to two weeks for your refund to process. Contact us if you have any questions.

How do I contact you?

REGISTRATION

When will your next schedule of classes be available?
We release a new schedule several times a year. Sign up for email updates to be notified of new classes and special events. Check back frequently, as we are always adding new classes.

 

Do I have to be a PCC member to take classes?
Our classes are open to everyone! Our members do get special benefits and perks. Find out more about PCC membership.

  

Can I register and pay for a class at my local store?
You may register online 24 hours a day or by phone at 206-545-7112, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Classes cannot be purchased in store.

 

Can I send my child to an adult class?
We format our classes to create the best experience for the intended age group. Adult classes are open to teenagers age 16 and up, unless the class is 21+. We also offer kids’ classes for toddlers to teens.

 

My child is interested in a kids’ class for an older age group. Can I sign them up?
Our kids’ classes are formatted for the age ranges listed. While we recognize there are varying skill levels among kids of any age, for the most successful learning experience, we ask that children attend the class for their age range.

 

 

GIFT CARDS

How do I give a class as a gift?
You can purchase a PCC gift card at any PCC store or online.

 

How can I apply my gift card to a class purchase?
Gift cards can be redeemed by phone.

 

 

PRIVATE EVENTS

Do you offer private classes?
Yes! Visit our private events page for more information on scheduling a custom class. Private events are currently on hold. We look forward to resuming once it’s safe to do so.

 

 

TEACHING

How do I apply to be an instructor?
We’re always accepting applications for cooking instructors excited to share their skills and favorite recipes. Meet our team.

Instructors must submit a proposal for a specific class and should be willing to teach classes at each of our 7 PCC classroom locations over a 6-week period. All ingredients used in class must be available at PCC.

To apply, submit your application via the job posting on our Careers page. All applicants must develop a specific class and submit a Class Proposal Form.
