Super subs

This article was originally published in March 2015

Whether you call it a hoagie, hero, grinder or something else entirely, the submarine sandwich has held court in delis across the United States for more than 60 years. Assembling your own can be simple and fun; you’ll find high-quality sliced meats and cheeses at your local PCC as well as an assortment of artisan bread to make the perfect sub. Add a salad or soup from the PCC Deli to complete your meal.

Rethink the classic combo of meats, cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion on your sub sandwich. Here are three fresh ideas to get you started.
