- 1/2 pound bacon
- 2 pounds frozen peas
- 1/4 pound smoked cheddar cheese, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- 6 tablespoons sour cream
- 1/2 bunch green onions, thinly sliced on the diagonal
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Preheat oven to 350° F. Line a baking pan with parchment paper.
Lay bacon on the prepared pan in a single layer. Cook in the oven until crisp, 20 to 30 minutes. Drain off grease halfway through cooking. Cool bacon and then cut into 1/2-inch pieces.
Rinse peas in a colander to thaw; drain well. In a bowl, toss together peas, bacon and cheese.
In a separate bowl, mix together sour cream, green onions, salt and pepper to make a dressing. Fold dressing into pea mixture.
