- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup loosely packed fresh mint
Combine sugar and water in a saucepan over medium-high heat and stir until sugar dissolves.
Place the mint in a heatproof container. Pour the syrup over the mint. Cover and allow to steep for at least 15 minutes, or until the syrup has cooled to room temperature.
Strain and discard mint. Store in the refrigerator, covered, for up to 3 weeks.
