- 10 to 12 ounces fresh tuna
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- Fresh thyme leaves
Coat tuna steak lightly with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with thyme leaves.
Cook over a hot outdoor grill (the preferred method) for 3 to 4 minutes to a side or cook in a heavy sauté pan over medium heat in a little more oil for 3 to 4 minutes to a side. The tuna should be about 145° F inside when done. Don’t overcook it!
