- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh sage
- 1/4 cup butter
- 4 ounces cold Neufchâtel (low-fat cream cheese)
- 1 cup buttermilk
Preheat oven to 425° F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix together flour, baking soda, baking powder, sugar, a generous pinch of salt and sage in a bowl.
Cut in butter and Neufchâtel with a pastry blender or fingertips, until mixture is crumbly. Stir in buttermilk and gently mix to form dough.
Roll dough out into a circle. Cut into triangles (as if you were slicing a pie) and place dough on the prepared baking sheet. Bake until biscuits are golden, 15 to 20 minutes.
