- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups apple cider vinegar
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 tablespoons red pepper flakes, or to taste
In a small bowl, combine garlic and salt; set aside.
In a stainless steel saucepan, bring vinegar to a boil. Add sugar and stir until fully dissolved. Reduce heat and simmer gently for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in garlic mixture and red pepper flakes. Refrigerate for at least 1 day before using.
