- 8 slices country-style bread
- Butter, for bread
- 4 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 8 slices Havarti or Gouda cheese
- 8 slices cooked bacon
- 1 cup diced strawberries
Lightly spread one side of each bread slice with butter. Spread the other side of four bread slices with mustard. Layer the four mustard-side bread slices with cheese, bacon and strawberries. Top with remaining four bread slices, butter-side out.
Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Place sandwiches in the warm skillet and cook on one side until golden brown and cheese begins to melt, 2 to 4 minutes.
Flip sandwich over and cook until golden brown and cheese is completely melted, 2 to 4 additional minutes. Let cool 2 minutes before cutting in half.
