- 1 pound strawberries, hulled and quartered
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1/3 cup coarsely grated dark chocolate
Divide the strawberries into 4 bowls. Place the cream and vanilla in a mixing bowl and beat at high speed until cream begins to thicken. Sprinkle in the sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks form.
Fold in the mascarpone cheese. Stir in the chocolate. Top the berries with the cream mixture. Serve immediately.
The cream mixture may be made ahead of time and refrigerated until ready to serve.
