Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons hot water
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar, or to taste
  • 2 ounces paneer or other semi-soft, bland white cheese, divided

Directions

Put unsweetened cocoa in a small saucepan and whisk in hot water until cocoa powder is dissolved. Set pan over medium heat and whisk in milk. Simmer until very hot but not boiling. Divide between two mugs.

Have each person sweeten to their taste, then add a 1-ounce cube of cheese to the mug and stir. Eat the cheese once it’s warm and soft.
