In 2016, we began publishing an annual Co-op Purpose Report to share with our members and shoppers the impact we’re having against our triple bottom line in our communities and beyond. We use data to measure progress against social and environmental goals, tell the stories of partners who enable us to do what we do and reiterate the values that don’t always show up in numbers, but are often the reasons why our members and shoppers choose PCC time and again.
2025 Co-op Purpose Report
“More than 123,000 strong today, members have been the soul of PCC since its inception in 1953, and we would not be who we are today without them. Each time you choose to shop at PCC, you are voting — with your wallet and your time — for the kind of grocery culture members believe in. Every trip helps strengthen this community-owned model.”
— Krish Srinivasan, PCC CEO & President
A look back at last year
In 2025, our co-op advanced our mission in meaningful ways. While recent years brought challenges, our belief in PCC’s essential role in strengthening the local food system never wavered, inspiring us to continue investing in our communities and our mission. This commitment took shape through a local surge initiative that generated approximately $600,000 in cash and donated goods to support more than 100 hunger relief agencies across our region, the establishment of new guidelines for regenerative agriculture labeling, the adoption of compostable mesh produce bags, and the introduction of Kernza® baked goods, made with perennial grain that helps sequester carbon from the atmosphere.
