- 3/4 cup brown rice syrup
- 3/4 cup maple syrup
- 3/4 cup butter or virgin coconut oil
- 2 pounds pears, diced
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
In a saucepan, combine rice syrup, maple syrup and butter. Cook over medium-high heat until the mixture caramelizes.
Add pears and cook for about 10 minutes or until they soften and are well coated with caramel. Remove from the heat and stir in lemon juice.
Serve at room temperature with Spiced Cake.
