  • 1 cup lentils
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 to 3 inches kombu or wakame (optional)


Rinse lentils well, removing any stones. Add to a pan along with water and kombu. Bring to a boil, cover, then reduce to a simmer for 45 minutes or until soft.
