Food Safety Alert: Romaine Lettuce

Based on an advisory from the CDC, PCC has removed all items containing romaine lettuce from the Salinas, California growing region as they have the potential to contain E. coli. This includes heads of romaine, salad mixes, and prepared salads and sandwiches. The CDC recommends consumers discard any romaine or products containing romaine that were grown in the affected region — please do not compost these items.

UPDATE 11/27/19:

A small amount of the following product was shipped to PCC locations and stocked for retail sale between 11/23/19 and 11/27/19 with labels indicating romaine grown in Salinas, California.
