Fremont Fair Father’s Day grill-off features favorite PCC chefs

2011 News

(Seattle, June 15, 2011) – Two chefs, two grills, five secret ingredients: It’s on!

This Father’s Day, bring Dad to an al fresco face-off between two favorite PCC Natural Markets (PCC) cooking instructors: PCC Chef Lynne Vea and Seattle Chef Becky Selengut. Two lucky fathers in the crowd will receive a free set of Weber grilling tools and get to judge for themselves whose rendition of grilled wild Alaskan King salmon is most delicious.

Lynne Vea is the mastermind behind scores of delicious recipes featured on KING 5 TV’s “Gardening With Ciscoe” show. Becky Selengut is author of the just-released “Good Fish,” a cookbook that highlights sustainable seafood. This is the latest battle waged by the two chefs, who have faced off over the stove many a time in their appropriately titled “Dueling Divas” PCC Cooks classes.

This free event takes place 1 to 2:15 p.m. Sunday, June 19, Father’s Day, at the Fremont Fair’s Waterfront Stage in Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood. Visit fremontfair.org for additional information.
