In this hands-on cooking class, youll dive into the world of savory pies, learning essential techniques for creating perfect crusts and hearty fillings. Youll master making cornmeal biscuits, flaky pie dough, and delicious tart dough, which will serve as the foundation for two delicious dishes. The menu features a comforting Chicken Tarragon Pot Pie topped with buttery Cornmeal Biscuits and an elegant Caramelized Leek Upside-Down Tart, perfect for any occasion. About the instructor: Heather Newton started out as a dishwasher at Canlis, working her way up to the pastry team. Since then, she graduated from the Specialty Breads and Desserts program, and has baked her way around Seattle. Now she enjoys sharing what she learned along the way with students of all ages.
