Description

Have your future baker roll up their sleeves and get ready to bake some pie! Kids will join Erica to craft perfect pies from start to finish. They’ll learn to make classic buttery pie crust from scratch, prepare fillings, and form and bake off their creations. Both the sweet and savory sides of pie will be explored as kids put together hand pies filled with potatoes, peas and cheese, and Caramel Apple Hand Pies topped with DIY whipped cream for dessert!

Vegetarian with dairy, eggs and gluten.

About the instructor: Erica is a passionate cook and educator. She attended the University of Washington while working at Seattle's renowned fine-dining restaurant, Canlis, as a professional cook. In 2017 she went on to co-found Seattle Cucina Cooking School, and works in partnership with Seattle Public Schools, sharing culinary education with students. Erica is thrilled to be sharing her love of cooking and eating together with Seattle kids and families.

Class notes

This class is designed as a hands-on cook-along experience offered live via the Zoom app. Recipes, pre-class prep and an equipment list will be sent before class; after class, we will share a recorded version. One spot in class is good for one kitchen or device. Online classes are nonrefundable.
