Born and raised in the Basque Country, Seattle-based cookbook author, food stylist and photographer Aran Goyoaga is known for her acclaimed blog Cannelle et Vanille with its gorgeous imagery and elegant take on gluten-free baking and cooking. Join Aran as she shares her techniques and secrets for successful gluten-free bakes ranging from zesty Cheddar-Herb Scones to delicate Honey-Lemon Tea Cakes to Roasted Concord Grape Bread inspired by Spain’s La Rioja region.

About the instructor: Aran is a Seattle-based, Basque born and raised cookbook author, food stylist, photographer and creator of the world-renowned blog "Cannelle et Vanille," a two-time James Beard Award finalist for Best Individual Food Blog. Aran’s work has been featured in The New York Times, Food & Wine, Bon Appetit, Condé Nast Traveler, GFF magazine, Travel & Leisure, Vogue, Cherry Bombe, and many more. Aran focuses on gluten-free baking and cooking and her most recent book, Cannelle et Vanille Bakes Simple was published in November 2021.

Class notes

  • This is an in-person demonstration class offered in a PCC classroom.
  • Only fully vaccinated individuals, with the last vaccine being given more than 14 days prior, may attend this class. Proof of vaccination (your vaccination card or a photo) and a current ID must be shown upon entry. Class participants are required to wear masks when not consuming food or beverages.
  • Class information will be emailed 48 hours before class. Our emails can get caught in spam filters or blocked entirely, please contact us if you don't receive the class information.
  • Cancellation Policy: Classes are nonrefundable. If you cannot attend, you can request a class credit or transfer to a different class up to 7 days prior to class or have someone attend in your place.
