Indulge in two days of sourdough celebration with longtime baker Lisa. In this introductory class, shell cover everything you need to know for sourdough success from developing and caring for your starter to getting hands-on experience stretching, shaping and baking your final loaf. Lisa will guide you through starters on Day 1, including making tasty Sourdough Waffles. Youll then learn how to mix and fold dough for overnight fermentation. On Day 2, she'll cover the secrets to scoring and baking, and show you what to look for in the finished product. Youll go home with a loaf of bread, starter and the confidence to continue your sourdough journey at home.

About the instructor: Lisa has loved the kitchen for as long as she can remember. While she has experience teaching regular school subjects to kindergartners through sixth graders, as well as cooking and baking professionally, Lisa finds real delight helping people of all ages connect to food. Through her business, The Tiny Kitchen, Lisa works to empower cooks young and old to use great ingredients and transform those ingredients into meals for the whole family. Lisa is a member of the Bread Bakers Guild of America.
- This is an in-person hands-on class offered in a PCC classroom.
