In this fun workshop, youll get a comprehensive overview of stew making, then help prepare three warming winter stews from around the world. Youll make Pav Bhaji (India) - a common street food made from a variety of vegetables and a mixture of spices. Groundnut Stew (Africa) - a sweet potato (or squash) based stew made with peanut butter, spinach and spices and Seaweed Soup (Thailand) - a seaweed (wakame) based soup with tofu.
Vegetarian with gluten and dairy.
About the instructor: Heather has been a culinary instructor for many years, first in Southern California and now in the Pacific Northwest. Heather attended culinary school in California and has worked in fine dining restaurants and bakeries all over the world, including Sydney, Chicago and Los Angeles. She loves sharing her passion for food and how it brings people together. When Heather isn’t teaching she enjoys hiking, reading and boxing.
