Add a new technique to your dessert repertoire as you learn to make two famed Iberian desserts. Tiago will show you how to prepare his favorite childhood treat, Pastéis de Nata — traditional Portuguese egg custard tarts. He’ll cover the key methods for crafting the dough and custard base, and will demonstrate how to assemble and bake the tarts for the most delectable results. You’ll also learn how to make Spanish Crema Catalana, an equally satisfying but much faster take on classic crème brûlée that comes together in just 20 minutes!
About the instructor: Tiago graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in 2014. After graduation, he honed his skills as a lead sauté cook for a fine dining establishment.
