Starting from scratch or seasoned pro?

Whether you’re looking for your first job or searching for a place to put down roots and flourish, PCC offers competitive wages, flexible scheduling and exceptional benefits and perks. Our co-op is also proud to partner with UFCW Local 3000, who’s represented our non-management store staff for nearly 40 years.

BENEFITS

Health Care

We believe access to quality health care is one of the most important benefits we can provide for our staff. PCC offers a generous plan for medical, dental and vision with low monthly premiums and low yearly out of pocket maximums for staff and their families. We also cover alternative medicine, like naturopathy and acupuncture, through our medical plan, as well as comprehensive mental health benefits. PCC also provides short- and long-term disability insurance.

Retirement Savings

PCC offers competitive retirement plans and free financial planning education for all staff members. Union staff receive a PCC-paid pension plan and access to 401(k) retirement plan, while nonunion staff are automatically enrolled in a 401(k) plan with a generous contribution annually from PCC.

Time Off

We encourage our staff to take time off, recharge and pursue their passions. PCC staff members are eligible for paid time off. Our stores also are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

COMMUTER BENEFIT

We have a passion for sustainability and minimizing our carbon footprint. PCC offers staff members Orca cards at a reduced rate of just $9.33 per month to encourage the use of public transportation.

Parental Leave

Eligible PCC staff members receive paid time off through parental leave.

PERKS

In-store discount

We believe in the power of good food — and we want our staff to enjoy the bounty in our stores. Staff receive 15 percent off all in-store purchases at PCC.

Co-op membership

Staff receive the benefits of membership, plus special coupons and offers. They also enjoy free delivery of the Sound Consumer, which informs readers about food policy, consumer concerns and co-op principles. As members, staff also vote in annual elections for board trustees and other co-op business, and can attend member-only meetings with the PCC Board of Trustees and PCC leadership.

Education & Training

We know that education and training are the most powerful tools we can give our staff. All staff go through new staff and store department orientation when they join our co-op. We also invest in our leaders through leadership training available to all managers. Additionally, the PCC Learning Fund makes dollars available to staff to pursue learning opportunities through external accredited classes, workshops and programs.

Cooking Classes

Our co-op is dedicated to cooking from scratch, and we hope to instill a passion for cooking in our staff. All staff qualify for one free class a month at PCC.
