Welcome to the PCC Corner Market

PCC is rejoining the heart of the city with a new PCC Corner Market set to open July 15.
The 6,000-square-foot downtown store at 1320 Fourth Ave. is in the same building as the co-op’s original downtown location, which operated at 4th & Union from January 2022 to January 2024. It occupies less than a third of the original space, though, and will focus on fresh, hot and prepared foods with a limited assortment of grocery and pantry staples. It’s tailored to the “unique needs of the downtown community,” according to a PCC news release, based on insights from customer favorites at the original downtown store.
Offerings include signature deli items from the PCC Market Kitchen, a hot bar and a salad bar along with grocery and pantry staples like milk and eggs; fresh sushi; ice cream; beer and wine. All will hold to the same strict quality standards as every other PCC store.
Regular hours will be from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. The opening manager is Eli Dorr-Fay, who joined PCC in 2015 as a deli helper clerk at the Green Lake Aurora PCC. He most recently worked as assistant store director at the Kirkland PCC.
The store will feature the artwork of Andrea M. Wilbur-Sigo of the Squaxin Island Tribe, which had been on display in the previous downtown store. Wilbur-Sigo is the first known woman carver of many generations of carvers in the Coast Salish style. The work, she once explained, is meant to convey the connection between people and the environment. She described it to Seattle Refined as showing how “we need each other to thrive and become better, healthier beings.”
The store’s doors will open at 9 a.m. July 15, and opening day celebrations include giveaways for the first 50 shoppers. Start the day as early as 7:30 a.m. with morning pick-me-ups (before the doors are open), or join in at noon for lunchtime bites and music, or at a 4 p.m. happy hour for more samples and giveaways.
