  • 3/4 cup whipped eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 8 to 10 slices oatmeal raisin bread


Mix together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla and pepper.

Heat skillet over medium heat. Add butter to the pan. Soak a slice of bread in egg mixture for about 1 minute and then fry in heated pan. Flip when brown. Repeat with remaining bread slices.
