  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom, divided
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon grapefruit zest
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup plain whole-milk yogurt
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons grapefruit juice
  • 3 eggs


Preheat oven to 350° F. Grease and flour a loaf pan.

To prepare streusel, combine brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cardamom and almonds. Set aside.

Whisk together flours, sugar, baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon cardamom, zest and salt. In a separate bowl, mix together yogurt, oil, juice and eggs. Pour wet ingredients into dry, mixing until just combined.

Spread half the batter in the pan and sprinkle with half the streusel topping. Repeat with remaining batter and topping.

Bake until golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 50 to 60 minutes. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, and then cool on a rack.
