Ingredients

organic black beans.

Preparation

Soak 1 cup beans in 3 cups water 8-12 hours. Drain and cook in 4 cups liquid for 60-90 minutes. Salt after cooking.

Yield: about 1/2 cup per 1/4 cup dry beans.

Comment

These beans are black, shiny and have a slight mushroom flavor. Black Beans hold their shape when cooked and absorb flavors well. Grown in the United States. It is also called Black Turtle Bean.
