Rinse, drain and cover 1 cup rice with 2 cups water and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, reduce to simmer, cooked covered 20-25 minutes. Let rest for a few minutes, and then fluff with a fork before serving.
Yield: about 3/4 cup per 1/4 cup uncooked rice.
