Ingredients

Washington grown cracked emmer, Oregon grown wild rice.

Preparation

Saute 1 cup mix in 1Tb olive oil or butter until blended. Add 2-¼ cups water or broth. Simmer (low) for 45 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes. Toss with ½ cup chopped parsley, ½ cup coarsely chopped walnuts and sea salt to taste for a wonderful pilaf blend.
