Description
Ages 12 to 16 Pie Camp is an immersive baking camp led by seasoned baker Lisa. Each day presents a new challenge and learning opportunity, from crafting fresh fruit tarts and chocolate cream pies to perfecting classic and sturdy pie doughs. Campers will explore techniques, including forming hand pies, creating decorative lattice toppings, and mastering savory pot pies. Alongside honing their baking skills, attendees will also learn proper dough handling, effective mixing methods, and knife skills crucial for pastry chefs. By the end of Pie Camp, participants will have a newfound confidence and expertise in the world of baking.

About the instructor: Lisa has loved the kitchen for as long as she can remember. While she has experience teaching school subjects to elementary students, as well as cooking and baking professionally, Lisa finds real delight helping people of all ages connect to food, empowering them to transform great ingredients into deliciousness for the whole family. When she’s not teaching, Lisa is busy bringing sourdough bread and other pastries, all made from locally-grown, locally-milled flours, to area Farmer’s Markets. Lisa is a member of the Bread Bakers Guild of America.
