Member satisfaction survey results

Last fall, Seattle-based Gilmore Research conducted a member satisfaction survey for PCC. The purpose was to establish a baseline of satisfaction with PCC and to understand how satisfaction could be improved. Learn more about our membership survey

2006 board candidates

The nominating committee has announced the names of the PCC members who will be candidates in this spring’s board election. Janet Hietter, Steven Reisler and Stephen Tan will join incumbents Don DeSantis and Julie Tempest on the ballot.

Learn about each candidate’s background and vision for PCC in the May Sound Consumer election special, on our Web site and in the stores beginning April 26.

Board meeting report

At the January 31 meeting, the Sustainability Task Force submitted a revised charter for the board’s approval. The new charter includes plans to work with the Development and Linkage Task Forces to provide educational opportunities on sustainability for the board and membership.

The Board Development Task Force received approval for the agenda for the board’s February retreat.

The Staff Relations Task Force updated the board on its research into firms that might conduct a staff opinion survey.

The Linkage Task Force received approval for a program idea for the May 2, 2006 annual meeting agenda. The educational component will address nutritional concerns with a focus on kids.

Management updated the board on construction of our new store in Redmond, talked about next steps in Seward Park now that the Seattle City Council has approved a zoning change to permit a larger store there, and reported on compliance with board policies.

A wonderful opportunity to meet informally with a board member, this event has evolved into a useful tool for linkage with our members.
